Power Pickleball Club is dedicated to providing a pure recreational experience but it's more than just a place to play; it's a community dedicated to celebrating the joy and benefits of recreating together.
Founder and CEO Jeremy Rosenvall's career background is in sales and business management, most recently with SunRun the last 5 years in the Bay Area. A BYU graduate from the class of 2011, Jeremy double majored in Exercise Science and Business Management. He always knew his ultimate goal was to be in both business and sports.
Jeremy has always been a big sports junkie, with tennis being his passion most of his life. The first time he gave pickleball a try was with a group who randomly invited him to take a swing in a Cleveland, Ohio YMCA basketball gym. He wasn’t easily persuaded to leave tennis behind, but over time, Jeremy realized pickleball simply gave him more of all the things he loved. He could play with more people he knew and loved due to the game’s learning curve being so much faster than tennis. He could socialize more, relax and laugh more, play more, be connected to his community more. Now he plays pickleball every chance he can get and is all in.
Jeremy’s life dream was previously to open up a tennis club, but that opportunity never realistically presented itself and now he sees how opening a pickleball club is an even better fit. “I love sports and even more than all other sports, any racquet/paddle sport,” says Jeremy. “To be able to do this makes me so happy. I’m humbled and grateful I have this shot in life, because it’s been something I’ve dreamed of doing since I was young: having a career in sports. I realize very few are able to ever be in a position to do exactly what they want to do in life, so I’m going to do my best to not take this for granted. I’ll put my whole heart and soul into making Power PBC an amazing and memorable club experience for every single person who walks through those doors.”
In his research of the local area, Jeremy reached out to Mike Johansen who is the the President and Founder of the Spokane Pickleball Club.
“I like to say we’re on team #morepickleball. The SPC’s mission is to grow the public game in the Lilac City but we want to see pickleball flourish in all its forms. When Jeremy reached out about building a new venue, I was more than happy to help and offer my local perspective.”
Now working as the Director of Member Experience at Power PBC, Mike Johansen comes from a career in UX, Brand, and Product Design. A Whitworth graduate from the class of 2009, Mike also has a history of non-profit work, including a former career in community organizing and crisis counseling.
As he shared in his change.org petition, Mike’s love of pickleball comes from a very personal place and is a core reason why he is so passionate about sharing the game with others:
“Millions of Americans became stuck in a rut of isolation and apathy as a result of the pandemic. I was one of them. And like so many others, pickleball helped me get moving again, get out from behind a screen, and make physical play a regular part of my life again. This type of life-changing transformation is happening for individuals all around the world and is certainly part of why this sport continues to see exponential growth year after year."
As pickleball has continued to grow in our community, we’re excited to offer a place that celebrates the recreational experience both on and off the court. Power PBC offers a variety of options to fit every level of player from membership plans, drop-in/open play, private/group lessons, free beginner lessons, tournaments, and private/corporate events.

Located just off the I-90 in Spokane Valley, Power Pickleball Club offers (11) state-of-the-art pickleball courts as well as a suite of off-court services to its members and guests. Open to the public in Summer 2024, Power PBC is the first large scale dedicated pickleball club in the Spokane metropolitan area — a fact that has long puzzled local pickleball enthusiasts as WA is not only the birthplace of the sport in 1965 but Spokane is less than an hours drive to the headquarters of the largest and leading brand of pickleball, Selkirk Sport.
Selkirk comes in as a Platinum Sponsor of Power PBC by ensuring a premier on-court experience by donating (11) Semi-Permanent Pro Pickleball Nets for the club’s indoor courts (a retail value of over $30,000). A pioneer in paddle technology that has revolutionized the game, Selkirk continues to innovate, support the player community, and celebrate the positive and inclusive spirit of the game.
Jeremy Rosenvall, Owner & CEO
From 2014-2019, Jeremy was a Partner at Insight Pest Solutions and owned a large stake in their Cleveland, Ohio branch. During this time, he learned the ins and outs of business ownership and management, specifically the strategies needed to be financially lean in order to produce large profit margins. He was also responsible for a large sales force during this time, managing door-to-door teams and actually knocking doors himself. In fact, he led from the front as the #1 Sales Rep from among ~2,000 reps in the company for 3 years in a row. Insight Pest Solutions eventually sold off to Terminix in 2019 and Jeremy took his share of the pie, which opened up many doors for him in real estate and other investment opportunities. He then transitioned into solar sales management, being chosen as a District Manager for Vivint Solar in the East Bay Area, California. After 3 years, SunRun acquired Vivint Solar for $3.2B, primarily due to Vivint Solar’s large and highly successful direct-to-home salesforce. Jeremy’s sales team and income grew substantially from there. He has always been consistently in the top 10% of sales performers from among ~5,000 sales reps at SunRun, while still managing and recruiting full-time. In September of 2023, Jeremy finally stepped down from sales management to pursue his sports facility dream.
Mike Johansen, Director of Member Experience
A graduate of Whitworth’s class of 2009, Mike Johansen began his career with a decade of non-profit service including AmeriCorps, crisis counseling, and managing various youth development programs. After establishing a small design consultancy that emerged organically during his time working in budget-strapped non-profits, Mike made the jump to full-time design work in 2018. After the pandemic pushed him (and millions of others) permanently out of the office, Mike began hungering for more face-to-face interaction. With this new venture, Mike is excited to break his design skills out from behind the screen and step into the world of service design in order to create a world-class recreation experience for members and guests at Power PBC.
